I live in Sydney and currently work at Coca-Cola Amatil as the Technical Capability Manager for Supply Chain. It’s a great role which combines my early experience as in Supply Chain in the Royal Australian Air Force with my subsequent work in Learning and Development. We use the 702010 framework for development, and I’m enjoying exploring moving beyond structured formal learning programs (which integrate workplace learning and experience with classroom and eLearning courses) to creating greater organisational capacity to learn as we work. I have a particular interest in social learning and Communities of Practice – key focus areas for my work and professional development in 2015. If you are interested you can read more about my professional experience in my LinkedIn profile.
My work team was awarded a Highly Commended finalist place in the 2013 Australian Institute of Training and Development (AITD) Excellence Awards in the Blended Learning category. To my surprise, I was named in the 2014 APAC Top 10 list of elearning movers and shakers – which has encouraged me to continue working out loud and participating in online social learning.
I am find peace and energy in coastal and bush walks, often with my lovely Weimaraner, Zephyr. I enjoy regular pilates classes for strength and balance. I have a small vegetable garden in my urban front yard, and am stitching my first quilt.
